Incredibly delicious pasta, cool friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, fast and high-quality service (which is rare in Europe). We were standing in line, but we were kindly offered to walk 3 minutes to another point of this restaurant where a table was provided. Thanks!
Came at around 15;30, had a 30 minutes waiting time, which was definitely worth it. We were served by FRANKY, which made our lunch more enjoyable than expected by his friendly character.
Definitely lived up to the hype, very good carbonara and tiramisu. We also tried the cacio e pepe. Highly recommended.
It was kinda too crowded and tight, bit on the pricier side. I had cacio e pepe, and honestly there was not enough pepe for my taste. However, my husband had carbonara, and he said it was the best carbonara he'd ever had. Aperol spritz was nice and refreshing. The staff was also really nice and friendly, and we were seated pretty much immediately, we waited maybe 2 minutes in total.
In short: I see a lot of reviews for carbonara which we didn’t try.
Found out about this place from a blogger and since we are staying 4 min away from here decided for check it out. We started with melon and prosciutto and my wife ordered a pasta and I did their veal dish. The melon and prosciutto was on a fatty side. My wife’s pasta didn’t have any strong flavor, but veal dish that was based on our waiter recommendation was good. I would say the highlight was the Tiramisu but nothing mind blowing.
Despite the less than stellar reviews, we were enticed by the appearances on multiple YouTube food videos and decided to give this place a try. The line outside was quite lengthy, but fortunately, it moved swiftly. A useful tip: there's another section of the restaurant around the corner, although the summer veranda lacks fans or cooling devices. The pasta chefs appeared fatigued and not very pleased. As you dine, you're met with hungry tourists in a queue, eyeing your plates.
Notably, the prices here exceed those of similar tourist-oriented eateries. Our starters included a prosciutto melon; unfortunately, the prosciutto was overly fatty and insufficiently cured. My husband initially opted for a lamb special from the menu, only to discover it's served exclusively in winter. He was then recommended another dish which he seemed to enjoy. I chose tagliatelle with oxtail stew—while the oxtail stew was flavorsome, the tagliatelle itself lacked any taste. Definitely my least favorite pasta on this trip. On a positive note, the tiramisu was delish.
Side note: that this establishment charges an extra six euros for bread and oil.
All in all, this felt like a tourist trap, and we won't be returning.
This was the best everything we had in Rome! The freshly made pasta was melting in my mouth! The freshly made cheesecake was the best cheesecake I've had in my entire life! The waiters are moving fast to get everyone in and get everyone food! I absolutely love this place and will return everytime I'm in Rome! And I will tell all my friends about it!! Amazingly deliciousness
There are a couple of restaurants from the same owners around, but this one had the less queue. We only waited like 5 min to get a table. You could see them making the fresh pasta right there, which makes it pretty cool. The pasta we had was super nice! Maybe it's a bit too crowded because of the hype, but we actually loved what we had (carbonara and amatriciana).
Great meal!! Pasta options are very tasty and among the best we had in Rome. Or the best - lots of good debate. There are three of these restaurants around the square. Pick the one with the shortest line! Staff was friendly and the meal relaxed despite how busy it is. House wine was excellent. Good spot for kids that like pasta (but consider sharing unless they eat a lot)! Carbonara excellent - rich but not overpoweringly so. Lines can get very long later into the evening.
